Col. Robert Latta Litchfield, (USAF, Ret.), Corralitos, Calif., died July 14, 2001. Litchfield was a pilot with the 24th Squadron in World War II, and later served in Korea and Vietnam. Following a 30-year career with the United States Air Force, he retired in 1971 as a full Colonel. Litchfield flew and commanded crews of the B-17, B-24, B-29, B-47, B-50 and B-52.
