Tinian Harbor - Then and Now

Tinian Harbor in 1945

The harbor was the lifeline of the island. Two transport ships are parked next to the docks. Two dredges are in the harbor digging material to make the harbor deeper.

Tinian Harbor Today

The harbor looks pretty much the same as in 1945. The barrier near the top has deteriorated. The deep blue color of the water indicates that the dredges were successful in digging out the Harbor.
